Since 29 February, the Cape Verdean airline, TACV, has resumed operating flights within the country, “on a complementary basis” with TICV (Transportes Inter-ilhas de Cabo Verde), which is majority owned by the Angolan company Bestfly.
The company has resumed operations to and from the four international airports of Praia, Sal, São Vicente and Boa Vista and, from 20 March, flights to the aerodromes on the islands of Fogo, Maio and São Nicolau. The aim is to increase mobility between the islands, increase connectivity with international flights and increase the circulation of domestic and tourist traffic.
The programme is designed to improve connections between the islands and at the same time increase connectivity with international flights.
