When preparing your luggage, avoid carrying fragile objects, and do not leave it at the airport.

To better identify it, mark it with personal details on the outside.

The weight of your hand and hold baggage must be in accordance with the carrier’s baggage policy.

For safety reasons, the following objects may not be carried in hand baggage, namely firearms and other weapons, pointed and sharp objects, blunt objects, explosives and flammable substances, chemical and toxic substances.

In their hold baggage, passengers may not carry dangerous goods and prohibited articles (within the limit set by the Civil Aviation Agency).

For security reasons, the amount of liquids, gels and aerosols that may be carried on board an aircraft are restricted. In hand luggage, these must be at least 100 ml each and placed in a closed transparent plastic bag, whit a capacity not exceeding 1 (one) liter per passenger. For hold baggage, bottles with a capacity of up to 1 litre are allowed.

For domestic flights, passengers must carry their ticket, a valid identification document (identity card, national identity card or passport) and, in the context of Covid-19, the documents required by law.

For international flights, a valid  passport whit visa to entry into the country of destination are required and, in the context of Covid-19, the documents required by law. All passengers must present a passport with a minimum validity of six months.

Passengers who are minors must have travel authorization from their parents or  guardians.

When booking, passengers who intend to travel with animals must inform the airline. Animals must be transported in appropriate containers . At check-in, the animal will be weighed and the passenger must pay a fee according to its weight.

With the exception of guide dogs, all company animals must be transported in a specific container/kennel.

As each airline has maximum dimensions allowed in the cabin and hold, please check with the airline you are travelling with for the maximum dimensions allowed before purchasing the container.

Prevention and Protection Measures

Cabo Verde Handling has adopted new health measures for the prevention and protection of passengers and operational teams, established by the Ministry of Health and the Civil Aviation Agency, for the containment of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Our priority is, above all, to ensure the health and safety of passengers and employees.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19, a number of preventive actions have been implemented, namely:

Distancing signs and placing disinfectant gel dispensers in all sectors;

Distribution of individual protection materials such as gloves and masks;

Teleworking” regime for employees subject to home office;

Annulment of punching in biometric systems (Cancellation of touching biometric control system);

Social distancing between employees and limitation of the number of people in the break room and canteens;

Awareness campaigns through daily briefings, pamphlets and bulletins;

Distance training system and a reduction in the number of trainees in class;

Reinforcement of sanitation in the aircraft, equipment and work areas;

Customer service desk: practicing social distancing;
