Resumption of Flights to Cape Verde - IATA Winter Season´s

With the start of the IATA (International Air Transport Association) winter season´s from October 29, 2023, to March 24, 2024, several airlines are resuming flights to Cape Verde, with CV Handling playing a crucial role in providing ground handling services.

Among them is Transavia, part of the Air France-KLM Group, which, in addition to Sal and Boa Vista, has added two more weekly routes between Paris/Orly (France) and Cape Verde, now also flying to the islands of Santiago and São Vicente. The inaugural flight to São Vicente took place on November 4, while the inaugural flight to Praia (Santiago) happened on October 30. Resumptions for Boa Vista took place on October 29, and for Sal on November 3.

November 4th also marks the start of flights from Sal island to Bergamo, in Italy, supported by TACV, with a weekly trip, on saturdays.

Swiss airline Edelweiss Air, operating charter flights from Zurich, resumed its flights to Sal on October 24, with a weekly frequency every Tuesdays, and to Boa Vista on October 23, every Mondays, and Tuesdays. Edelweiss is currently the only airline with direct flights from Zurich to Cape Verde.

Danish airline Sunclass Airlines reconnected the Swedish capital, Stockholm, to Sal Island on October 12, with three weekly flights on Thursdays and Fridays.

With the start of the winter high season, TUIfly Nordic, a part of the TUIfly Group, resumed connections from Sweden to Sal on October 24, with four weekly flights, and to Boa Vista with two weekly flights.

In December, Luxair is expected to resume flights from Luxembourg to São Vicente starting on the 8th and to Praia starting on the 19th. Flights to Boa Vista resumed on October 18, with two weekly flights on Wednesdays and Fridays. It’s worth noting that Luxair also maintains its route to Sal, with flights every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.
