License for Access to Ground Handling Activity
CV Handling has a license issued by the Civil Aviation Agency to carry out ground handling activities, according to article 7 of Decree-Law No. 51/2014 of September 17.
This license is valid until December 31, 2026, when it must be renewed, as long as the conditions required by applicable legislation are maintained.
The ISAGO Certification – IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations
In October 2017, Cabo Verde Handling managed to obtain its 1st ISAGO Certification (International Certification Audit) for the Company’s Headquarters and Sal Station (SID), in which it achieved positive results. This first recognition allowed Cabo Verde Handling to be part of the group of certified handlers based on the high requirements defined internationally by ISAGO.
Two years later (October 2019), Cabo Verde Handling received the 2nd ISAGO Recertification, referring to Operational Safety at the Corporate (Headquarters) level, valid until October 2022, and Recertification for Sal Station, until October 2021.
In order to continue the Certification Process, in November 2019, Cabo Verde Handling implements action plans focused on ISAGO for the Praia Station, which had just received its 1st Certification valid until November 2021.
In June 2021 CV Handling achieved ISAGO Recertification for the Sal Station and the Praia Station, both valid until October and November 2023 respectively.
In 2022, CV Handling secured the ISAGO – HQ (IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations – Headquarters) recertification for the company’s management, achieving positive results and making the company a better handler.
The ISAGO (Safety Audit for Ground Operations) recertification for the Sal and Praia stations took place in 2023.
2024
CV Handling has successfully received ISAGO certification for Headquarters in october 2024.
This recognition allows CV Handling to continue to be part of the group of certified handlers based on the high requirements defined internationally by IATA and requested by client companies, and to work in a context aligned with the best practices in the industry, mainly thanks to the effort, engagement and commitment of all CV Handling employees, regardless of function or sector, as well as the trust shown by our clients and professionals in the sector.
